Hello!
I once had a mission prep teacher ask our class this question: "If you fed your body like you fed your spirit, would you be overweight or anorexic?"
I was reminded of that question when I read this scripture this morning: 2 Nephi 9: 50 Come, my brethren, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters; and he that hath no money, come buy and eat; yea, come buy wine and milk without money and without price.
51 Wherefore, do not spend money for that which is of no worth, nor your labor for that which cannot satisfy. Hearken diligently unto me, and remember the words which I have spoken; and come unto the Holy One of Israel, and feast upon that which perisheth not, neither can be corrupted, and let your soul delight in fatness.
52 Behold, my beloved brethren, remember the words of your God; pray unto him continually by day, and give thanks unto his holy name by night. Let your hearts rejoice.
Pretty good, aye?

Each week that passes gets better and better. Guess what?? I've noticed that every week we are improving, even if it's just sightly. That's a nice feeing. I love the scriptures that mention being firm and steadfast, and pressing forward. That is what I'm trying to do. I feel my faith is increasing and being more constant. I know that after all the work and faith I do, God will perform His miracles.
We saw some this week. As we were tracting this week, we met a young dad who related with feeings of guilt and regret. We told him that by following Jesus Christ and by making a promise with him by being baptized, those feelings can be washed away. We invited him to be baptized and you'll never guess what he said... He said yes! He had to talk to his wife first, but we will be following up soon.
We also found a family that were taught by sisters like 5 years ago! They said they would take them to Adventure World and have them over for dinner all the time. They probably have a different perspective from what we actually do. They have lots of struggles, but somehow I think it's not a coincidence we were put on their doorstep...
-We gave them some money to add to their collections...
-Sister Johnson's last trip to the Dentist. As we were leaving, he said "I'm gonna miss seeing you all the time!" He was cool-he would tell me to come look at her teeth and see what he was doing. He told his assistant, "I'm training her (me) to be a dentist." Haha.
-A member gave us A&W Rootbeer! They don't have rootbeer here!! You have to get them from the Asian shops...
-The same member turned an old TransPerth bus into a diner!! I can't show you all the pics b/c this computer is SLOW AS! Remind me when I get home... ;)
Love you all,
Sister Beardall
