Hi everybody!
This was a really, really cold week. It
downpours and we get soaked. It's way fun, let me tell you! I even had a
dream about buying these warm puffy gloves one night. They were SO
warm!! How do you feel warmth in your dreams....I don't even know.
Anyway,
church was exciting yesterday because we had 2 investigators come to
church!! It's the happiest thing ever when that happens. It was a pretty
spiritual sacrament meeting, so I was really grateful they were there.
The
elders in our district are teaching a man who has been going to church
forever, but he hasn't been baptized. He has 8 kids and he is married.
We were able to go to his house this week and visit with his wife. Her
name is Kiwi! We feel like she is the key. The lesson we had was really
good and we helped connect her desires to coming to church and
exercising her faith.
She, her husband, and her entire family were at church this Sunday. #miracles
We
had a really good Zone Meeting this week. We role played tracting. The
key is observing, listening, and discerning. President Fife was at the
meeting so he was really involved. He is crazy good. His knowledge and
experience is unreal. We have been putting into practice how to really
observe, listen, and discern. It's a skill! Family: when I get home we
are doing role plays for FHE. Get ready! Bahaha.
We
got fed twice this week! That hasn't happened since Christmas!! It was
really fun. We love the opportunity to eat food and help people learn
about their Savior and their Heavenly Father. Food always brings people
together. The gospel does too.
We went to a
Fijian family's home one night. They were a referral from our Zone
Leaders. They are teaching their daughter in their area. This family is
already really strong in their beliefs so it was really hard to get
anywhere with them. But we shared about the Restoration and we bore our
testimonies of Jesus Christ. I know they felt the spirit.
Before
we left they treated us with a song. It was SO good! I wish I could
send the video but it's too big of a file. Remind me when I get home.
Their voices just boomed!! We 'accidentally' left the Book of Mormon on
their coffee table. We hope their hearts soften and eventually read it. I
know it will change their life.
If they could really know
that this is what Jesus Christ wanted them to do, they would do it in a
heartbeat. They love Jesus! I think sometimes we get in the way of
ourselves. Humility is key.
I forgot my camera. So, sorry. No pictures. I chopped my hair off. So that's exciting.
Have a great week. Love you all.
Love,
Sister Beardall
