Kale Chips

Hello my family and friends!
So good to be with you here today. It's been a great few days since the last time I wrote - Thursday.

On Thursday night, Sister Wiest packed up our things and left High Wycombe. We went to Byford for the day. The Sister Training Leaders live in Byford and we went there for exchanges. They each had a mini missionary (a young women in the stake assigned to them for 5 days to experience missionary work). On Friday I went with Sister Nansen and Sister Honda (mini missionary) and we had a lot of fun. Why fun? Because working hard is fun. And that is what we did. We made a goal the night before, when we were planning, to receive 2 new investigators and WE DID!! We tracted a lot. I even got a nice sunburn from it all... the one day I forget to bring sunscreen, we are outside 90% of the day.

There was one point, later in the day, where we were pulled over near a park. We were tired and hot. We were trying to decide if we should go to another area or tract the street we were by. After a long silence, we decided to tract the street. We went down the entire street talking to a lot of people. I kinda like tracting because you never know who is behind that door. They open it and it's this huge surprise when you lock eyes. Whenever I talk to people, I imagine them as members of the church and there was this cute couple with a little newborn baby who answered and I totally wanted them to be members. But unfortunately they "weren't interested". I'm absolutely certain if they let us teach them, they would be 100% interested. I don't know how people aren't interested in having peace and happiness in this life that comes from the Atonement. I don't know how people aren't interested in being with their family forever, even after death. I don't know how people aren't interested in enjoying the Celestial Kingdom in the presence of our loving Heavenly Father. I don't know about you, but I'm 100% interested.
Another lady answered, looked at us and before we could say anything said, "I'm not interested." I replied, "Oh, interested in what?" Haha. We hadn't even offered her anything... What if we were there to ask if she had some peanut butter we could borrow? We obviously weren't... but still.
It wasn't until the very end of the street, around the corner and down the next corner that we found a new investigator.

God helped us and gave us strength to keep going. We were able to find that new investigator because we decided to work hard and follow the spirit. That's just what He does.

Please pray for Yvette. Satan is causing a lot of trouble because he knows someone is starting to come and follow Christ. That's just what he does.

There is a quote in Preach My Gospel that says, "People will not likely change unless they are invited to do so."
So today, I would like all of you to do something. I invite you to submit everything you have to Jesus Christ. Yield completely. Give Him your heart. Give Him your will. If there is any part of you that is still holding on to a bit of rebellion, get rid of it. If there a part of you that doesn't want to be exactly obedient to God's commandments, cut it off and promise to Heavenly Father that you will be faithful to Him.
Living the commandments shows LOVE for God and His Son.
You demonstrate TRUST in God as you obey His commandments.
In return, you will receive BLESSINGS that He has promised!
None of us will be perfect. He isn't expecting perfection. He knows we aren't and that we can't be on this Earth. He just expects that we are faithful and never give up. Heavenly Father can do a lot with us and with our lives when we finally submit our will to His. His knowledge is greater. His plan is better.

Love,
Sister Beardall

At a door, we stood in a line and planned to pop our heads out like this if they answered...good thing they didn't answer.

Wall sits for morning exercise.
