Sheelberightmate!

Heeellllloooooo!!

I can't believe I've been out for almost 3 months. Man, time flies!!!
A few weeks ago my grandpa sent me a scripture to look up. It was 2 Nephi 5: 27.
"And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness."
It was everything I needed. Sometimes, (like I'm sure most people) I find myself angry or annoyed or sad or negative and then I remember that this gospel is a gospel of joy and happiness! I have so much to be grateful for! There is so much good in my life.

Life isn't sunshine, lollipops and rainbows all the time. Sometimes life is overcast and rainy. But just like rain doesn't kill a flower, but helps it grow, hard or challenging times help us grow and learn! There are opportunities to learn all around us every single day. I feel like the more knowledge we have, the happier we can be. Especially knowledge and understanding of our Savior and the Miracle of the Atonement.
I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know who I am. I know God's plan. And because of this, I too, live after the manner of happiness. :)

Something I've learned, or I guess realized, on my mission is the importance of agency. My agency. I get so sad sometimes when people don't keep the commandments or lose faith. Sometimes I want to make all the choices for other people! I know how much hope and happiness actively living the principles of the gospel brings!  But I can't. And that's okay. I'm glad I can determine my own destiny. I'm glad I have an eternal perspective. I'm glad I can pray. I'm glad I can change and repent. I'm glad Jesus Christ is my Savior.

This mission of mine is changing me for the better.
I love you all! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!!

Love,
Sister Beardall

Last P-day we went to a member's house and got our eyebrows waxed! Hahaha!!! Hence the pink eyebrows... sensitive skin probs.
Merry Christmas!!!!

Our neighbor Greg. He wins.

The face you make when your bus is 30 minutes late and takes 20 minutes to get out of the bus station and it officially takes 3 hours to get home from Zone Meeting and you are 30 minutes late to a neighborhood BBQ you planned yourself. Yep. We got off the bus and ran all the way home. We started running down our street and saw our neighbors gathered on Greg's lawn. We passed them saying, "We'll get the sausages!!!" They were just laughing at us. Hahaha! It was such a great night, though and we were able to bring the neighbors together and even talk about missionary work and the church. Success.

We organized a Cookie Drop and invited the RS and YW and investigators.

This is what the Elders call a "prank". They put a dead lizard on the sister's car! There were screams of terror.

Making Peanut Butter Balls for gifts! Just keeping up tradition from home...
