Happy As a Pig In Mud

Martha is officially a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!! She is on the path to eternal life. Yaya!! I am so proud of her. Right after she was baptized, she came up the stairs and we wrapped her towel around her. She had the biggest smile on her face that did not leave! She was so happy! We asked her how she was feeling and she said, "Beautiful. I feel like a princess! God loves me." Man. This mission of mine is so worth it. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is perfect, and it truly makes the true follower happy.

Time is FLYING on the mission!! I want to make sure I am getting the most out of everyday. I want to learn from everyday and change!

We worked a lot on finding and contacting this week. We are in need of people to teach!! Do you remember Bobby, the golden potential we accidentally found? Well, we were talking to a man walking his King Charles Caviler Beagle Mixed Dog (look that one up...) and Bobby walks by us. He had a beany on (even though it was blazing hot!!?!?!) so I didn't recognize him! I thought he was drunk or something because he walked up to us and obviously wanted to talk to us...that sounds sad...but usually if men come up to us wanting to start conversation...you can kinda sense danger. But I honestly had no idea who he was. He did look and sound familiar and I was racking my brain but I couldn't remember. I shook his hand and asked for his name. It was Bobby! Everything clicked then, and I was so excited to see him! We have been trying to contact him so many times since we met him but he's never been home. I hope we can help him center the faith he already has on the things Jesus wants him to do. It was a MIRACLE that he was put in our path again!

This week I went on exchanges with a Sister Training Leader, Sister Drew. We went to her area, Byford, and at a potential investigators house, we met a man who was a pastor from South Africa. Long story short he wanted to Bible Bash with us on why the Sabbath Day should be on Saturday and honestly I don't know my bible well enough to bash right along with him. We bore testimony and any chance we could but he always quickly interrupted. This was bothering me a lot the next few days. I wanted the answers. So I have been studying a lot and learning about why we worship the Savior on Sunday so I can explain it if this comes up in the future, which I'm sure it will. Basically, I love studying the scriptures. We have such an amazing schedule. We have 30 min set aside to exercise, and we have hours in the morning set aside to study. No other time will it be like this I'm sure. Life is so busy, but if we can make the time to do those things, mmm! Life will work out. ;)

We had another investigator come to church this Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a miracle. Seriously. We have been trying so hard for this family to come, but something always happens and they don't. This week the 10 year old daughter came with a member who comes teaching with us. She had a great time! We gave her a bingo sheet to do during sacrament meeting to listen and have fun. She went to primary and met a nice friend and sang and got a CTR ring! Haha. I hope she will go home and tell her mom and brothers all about church and that they wont be afraid to come. :) Hayley is a pioneer for her family. And she's only 10. Bam.

Be a pioneer for your family now and even your future family. Show them the way. Remember this quote by President Monson? "Dare to be a Mormon. Dare to stand alone. Dare to have a purpose firm. Dare to make it known." I am SO BLESSED to be a member of Jesus Christ's restored church! I want everyone I meet to be blessed by it too.

I love you.

The highlight of my mission so far: Martha's Baptism

We went to "Bounce" last pday!! It's a huge trampoline place. So fun. We played some pretty intense tag. I only tripped over the pads about every 20 seconds, so yep. 'Twas fun.

All energy officially gone.
