The Weather Outside Is Frightful aka: 103 degrees aka Let It Snow

I almost got my first kiss by an old Scottish man on Christmas Night!! I turned my head the wrong way and...bam. But he missed. Good thing.

Christmas was sooo good! So different but so good.
Christmas Eve: we went to a member's home and ate amazing food with their extended family. The best part of the night was when I begged the mom to sing to us and she finally agreed. She sang with her mother-in-law. Her voice is so beautiful. I recorded it and listen to it all the time.
Christmas Day: Breakfast crepes at a members home and skyping!! My favorite part was skyping my fam bam. I love my people. I always want to be with my own family (and the Lord has shown me how I can).
Lunch with our neighbors! It was the cutest, we walk in and he says I have something to show you, and we go into his TV room and he has the MoTab singing Christmas songs! It was awesome.
Dinner: Another member's family. We ate and then went around the area and sang Christmas carols to some neighbors.

My mission president asked us a question. He said, "Have you ever had a birthday party where everyone that came got presents except for you?" I don't know about you, but I have never personally had such a sad birthday, thankfully... Just think about Christmas, though. We are celebrating Jesus Christ's birthday and we all give presents to each other but do we even give anything to The Savior, the person whose birth we are celebrating??

Honestly there is only one thing we can really give him, because He has given us literally EVERYTHING. We are always in debt to him. When we serve him or do something for him, He throws a blessing right back to us... But there is one thing we have that he doesn't already have. Only one thing we can give him. And that is our will. Our heart. We can give our hear and our will to Him and do whatever it is that he asks. I'm trying to do that everyday. It's hard. But it's the only thing He asks of us.

GUESS WHAT??? I'm getting TRANSFERRED!!!! All the way to High Wycombe! (Not very far at all...) Sister Grace and Sister Wiest are currently in High Wycombe. They are in my district and ward. Sister Grace is going to Quannana (Kwinana) (I have no idea how to spell that), and I am taking her place and will be companions with Sister Wiest! I am so excited, but at the same time, I cry when I think of Sister Grace leaving.
After I email, I will be taking a DRIVING TEST!!! In other words, this may be the last email you ever get from me......jk. I've mastered the look-right-first-and-stay-to-the-left. No worries.

If anyone wants something to ponder this week, ponder this statement: "By the weak and simple, the Lord will thresh the nations with his spirit." (paraphrased by some scriptures in D&C 1:23, 35:13, 133:59)
It's something I've been thinking about a lot this week.

I love you. But most importantly, Heavenly Father loves you. I feel this so strongly when I teach the Australian people. Give Him all you have and He will give you all He has.

Love,
Sister Beardall

There was a fire near us and people were getting evacuated. Good old Greg taking pics on his roof...

All the sisters and elders in our Zone had matching headbands and ties at the Christmas Conference! #unity
