December News

Hi Y'all.
It's pouring rain here at the moment. It's a nice change from the blistering heat... ;)
The progress of our investigators is slow at the moment, but we are happy. We had a lesson with our investigators, Adon and Sarah this week. They are a cute couple (not married at the moment... we'll fix that) from New Zealand. They are super busy with work at the moment in the holiday season, so we can't see them as much as we would like. We gave them each a Book of Mormon and they began asking us questions about baptism and Adam and Eve and all sorts of things! Haha. They were a bit excited to finally get answers to their questions. At the end of the lesson Sarah went into the other room and got her work roster to see when we could come back, without us even asking! I love it when that happens. They might be moving soon, but we're happy to teach them while we still can.
We put one of our investigators on date this week! Her name is Belinda (it's a different one... ;) ). She is the daughter in law of a member in our ward. She comes every friday to drop her daughter off for the weekend. She is a nice woman seeking for a way to find peace in her life. She wants to be baptized, but we found out later she isn't in our ward boundaries... so we have to give her to the other sisters in another ward. She came to the ward Christmas party and had a great time.
Have you heard of the Mannequin Challenge going around on Social Media. We obviously don't have social media, but the members in our ward told us about it. The Young Women's president filmed the primary, relief society, missionaries, elders quorum etc. doing the mannequin challenge and we watched them at the party. It was pretty funny! I'll try to attach the video I took of the video.

We'd like to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
It was Sister Johnon's birthday on the 7th!

She calls me camel, so I painted her a picture of 'me'.

Happy Birthday!!!

I couldn't take the tears anymore.

We taught a lesson with a family in our ward on the importance of the temple and they happened to have candy legos so we built temples for the activity!!

We went to follow up with a lady who we gave the book of mormon to. Her front porch was COVERED in flies so we were standing there for a second trying to suss out how we would get to the door to knock without being attacked by flies and her husband came out and gave this to us. :(

I love Sister Johnson's random gifts...

We got stuck behind this coming here to email. We were going 20 kms on a 80 km zone. You should've seen the line of cars behind us. Eventually got some space and squeezed past. Ain't nobody got time fo dat!
