Hello mates.
How are you all doing? I'm doing great if anyone was wondering. I just can't thank Heavenly Father enough for this calling He has given me to be a missionary. I love serving His children! Sometimes the trouble is finding those who WANT us to serve them! Does anyone have any creative finding ideas?? We've been doing a survey with people at the door if our conversation goes nowhere. That has been working! We actually had a lady let us in and we had a long convo with her. In the beginning she was thinking about how she could politely turn us down. The survey works!! She also wants us to come back!
We actually had a member from a different ward call us up referring us to go help one of her friends who lives in our area. She houses women who can't afford regular rent... we rearranged furniture, lifted furniture so she could put carpet pieces under the legs, sanded down her baseboards so she can repaint, etc. I like service. Service with a purpose. Hopefully when we come again, we can have some time to talk to her about the gospel. She is a fast mover and didn't have time to talk to us! Haha. Just work.
We have been tracting a lot. We met a man who just had a stroke. He welcomed us right into his home and he didn't even know who we were. His carer actually was the one who let us in. He was sitting down and said, "Let them in!" He is a sweet man. Considers himself Baptist, and recognizes the miracles God has done in his life since his stroke. He wants us to come back. :)
A member couple called us and invited us to dinner! #miracle They had a non member there staying with them. He is a roommate of their son who lives away. He got beat up at a bar and broke his jaw and chin. He is from Germany. We were able to have a good chat with him about Jesus Christ and the Atonement. #plantingseeds
Remember that young family I told you about with the newborn that look like Mormons? We thought they were golden as, but this week it all changed. Long story short she threatened to call the police and told us to not come back again. Sister Johnson and I almost started crying. It was so sad! You guys it was like she was another person. We think she has something happening with the family or something that we don't know about.... maybe future missionaries will be able to help them.
We got to go to the temple finally! It's been ages! We missed last transfer. I absolutely LOVE the temple!! I feel refreshed and ready to go.
