Locked and Loaded

Hello everybody!
I'm still happy to be alive!! Hope you all are to! If you're not, repent. ;)
I thank Heavenly Father everyday for the major blessing He has given me to be here in the Great Australia Perth Mission. Being a missionary is one of the hardest things I've ever done, but because that is true, I am becoming someone I never thought I could become. I am really starting to understand what it means to be a daughter of God! I know He knows me and loves me and I know His whole Plan is moving forward.
Just like a massive bulldozer moves a massive amount of dirt all at one time, we are all little particles of dirt and we are all progressing along in His Plan.

We had District Meeting this Tuesday and our district was privileged to have the one and only President Fife attend. We do 'real plays' (role plays, but they're almost real...) every meeting and because us sisters are the minority, President Fife real played with us. That man is an intelligent, inspired, servant of the Lord. I learned so much from Him, as he pretended to be our investigator. Before you knew it he decided to switch the roles and he started teaching us! Haha! I love him.

He taught us about why we go to church. Why do we go to church? There's reasons like: "to feel the spirit, to strengthen your testimony, to serve others, to learn about the gospel." But the most important reason that we go to church is to partake of the sacrament.
If we have come to church repented of the things we have done wrong, and with a true and willing heart to change and follow Jesus Christ, as we partake of the ordinance of the Sacrament, we are able to be cleansed from sin because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His Atonement.

Repentance is SO important! Bringing our lives in line with God's will through repentance is a central purpose of our lives!! We can return to live with God the Father only through Christ's mercy, and we receive Christ's mercy through repentance!

I was reading the General Conference Ensign the other day and I read this from Elder Gerrit W. Gong, "Heavenly Father's plan of happiness invites us to be humbly at peace on our life's journey to someday become perfected in Christ, not constantly worried, frustrated, or unhappy in our imperfections today."

I am so grateful to know that. It is so easy to be hard on ourselves and to be negative about the things going on around us. This is not how Heavenly Father wants us to think and act! This is exactly how Satan wants us to think and act. We must choose to put faith over fear and doubt. Charity and love over pride.

While tracting a few weeks ago, we found a potential investigator named Saray. She is from Chile! On Tuesday, Sister Sinaga and I went over to see her. We knocked on the door and about 20 seconds later, we hear the door lock. We looked at each other, smiling, and knocked again. No answer.
Saray texted us later and said her Grandma was home alone, and because she doesn't speak English, she didn't want to answer the door! Bahahahaha!! We came over the next day and talked with Saray and I racked my brain to try to talk to her abuela en Espanol! Haha! It was so fun. ;)
Saray is so keen! She already has a Book of Mormon and she was saying that she is just so confused about religion because there are so many in this world. She was formally a Catholic but wants to find what is true. I was bouncing of my seat!!! Not really. I was actually just sitting there without moving, but yeah. We are so excited to teach her more! We didn't have a lot of time to properly ask lots of inspired questions and open her box to teach her more because she was having some friends over for a cake party, but we will see her again!

Remember why you are here. To grow up. We are here on this earth to grow up;
to become like our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother; just like a daughter or son grows up to become like their father and mother.

I love you all and I hope you have an inspirational week!!!!
Love,
Sister Beardall

Why do mother kangaroos hate the rain?
Because the kids have to play inside all day.

We made David, Tahlia, Shanika etc. a BOM chart! We hope they can start to LOVE reading the Book of Mormon! Just like I do.
