I'm a mama!

Please give a warm welcome to my new daughter, Sister Snow!!! (they use this terminology on the mission. I'm training her so she is my daugher and I am her mum, my first District Leader is my dad, etc. haha)
Sister Snow is from Tahiti. She speaks French. She loves to dance and sing, she is 27, the oldest of 11, and she is just beautiful. I love her!! She has taken me back to my roots from when I first learned English...I don't understand English sometimes. So confusing! Haha! But she is doing really good!
When we were doing our weekly planning I asked her how many new investigators she felt Heavenly Father was preparing for us this week. She thought for a second and very surely said, "Six!" In my head I was thinking: "What the? Six?!?" Haha! We usually plan 2 or 3 or even 1... What little faith I have. But I am so motivated to get SIX NEW INVESTIGATORS this week. I know God will help us if we work hard and keep the faith. It's go time. It's Snow time. (And Beardall time too, but that doesn't rhyme with go, so we'll just stick with Snow...;) )

Yvette is...um...struggling. I love her so much and I want her to be happy so badly. She is always on my mind and I don't know how to get through to her. My ward mission leader gave me some advice and said that some people take years to open their eyes and change. This might be the case for Yvette. Her circumstances aren't right. But what my companion and I are doing is giving her hope, and that hope will keep her going. She needs hope in her life. Don't we all?

We had a great lesson with Yuli from Indonesia. We decided we would explain the Book of Mormon in better detail. We went through all the pictures in the front, and explained where the BOM took place, that it was about a family who had lots of family problems and ups and downs, and how they had to rely on God all their lives, also how Jesus Christ visited these people. We explained the experience with Joseph Smith receiving the plates and translating them and she was having so many "Ah ha!" moments! It was all making sense! We began our lesson with a prayer asking for the spirit to help her understand what we taught, and it did. I gave Sister Snow the raised-eyebrows look which is code for "invite her to be baptized" and she did! I was so proud of her! Yuli said she didn't know right now, but we will continue to help her know.

We have lots of other people we are excited to work with. I hope we can get them all progressing! Follow-up is key, future missionaries out there...

I asked Sister Snow to share her favorite scripture with a lot of people this week. It's 1 Corinthians 10:13. She is going to be a strong missionary. She already is. She wants to work hard and she is diligent in her learning and working. She is a quiet giant. I'm a loud giant on the other hand so we even each other out. ;)

Will you read 2 Nephi 4: 15-35? Have you ever been in a rut? How do you get yourself out of a rut? This is how Nephi does. I love my scriptures!!
Adversity is a natural part of life. Each of us experience it. If you use adversity and challenges as a problem, they will make you weak. If you use them as a challenge to win or beat, they can make you strong and help you grow!
Oye! Also if you love your scriptures as much as I do, you should also read this D&C 122. It hits you in the heart. Mmm. So good.

Thank you for all your support and prayers! I feel them.

Love,
Sister Beardall
SISTER SNOW on our very first day!! All the trainers lined up in a horizontal line facing the new goldens. President Fife called out the golden's name and said where they were from, and then said, serving with...so and so!!! He went through all the sisters and it was just Sister Muna and I with Sister Snow and Sister Gao (from china) in front of us...Pres. said, "sister gao, from china serving with....Sister Muna! Everyone cheered and that meant my golden was... Sister Snow! I ran to her to give her a big hug without President even calling us out first! Haha! I hope I didn't scare her. ;)

We took a 3 min. stop at the skate park to break things up.  #initiation

Dropping Sister Eagar off at the Mission Office on her last day of her mission. Sad day. Sister Eagar is a great missionary!

A family in our ward took us to the Mandaring Weire? I probably didn't spell that right.. I got eaten alive by Mozzies! (mosquitoes) 11 on one arm! There were 4 bites that made the shape of the southern cross like on the Australian Flag! hahaha!

I was with Sister Muna for a day before transfers happened. What a nut.
