Set Goals and Make Plans

Raise your hand if you've ever made resolution to eat healthier at some point in your life? I've learned that setting a goal to 'eat healthier' will never work if that is all you do (set the goal).  WE GOTTA MAKE PLANS!! Ex: buy 5 fruits and 5 veggies this week when I go grocery shopping, only eat  sugar (but don't go crazy) on Fridays, eat (...), (...), or (...) when I want a snack, etc. If we make plans to go with our goals we can actually achieve them. All you future missionaries, remember that.

A goal I have in my life is to one day live in the Celestial Kingdom. But if I don't make plans to get there or make plans to protect me from influences that will stop me from getting there, I never will. Ex: go to church every Sunday, pray sincerely every morning and night, go to the temple every Wednesday, study the scriptures every morning,  don't watch (...) types of movies, keep the word of wisdom, do a small act of kindness every day, etc. etc. God knows we are weak. He knows we are imperfect. But my good friend Elder Russell M. Nelson once said, "Be patient with yourself. Perfection comes not in this life, but in the next life. Don't demand things that are unreasonable, but demand of yourself improvement. As you let the Lord help you through that, He will make the difference." Don't demand perfection. Demand improvement!

This mission of mine is teaching me those things. And more. I'm so grateful for my Heavenly Father. He teaches me when I come to Him, wanting to learn.
Life is a roller coaster. It's much more fun when you put both hands in the air! Screaming at the top of your lungs is optional, not completely necessary, but sometimes helpful. ;)

This week we reached a number of our goals including member present lessons and less active/returning member lessons! Feels good, aye!
Set some goals. Make some plans. And then when you reach your goal, eat a tootsie roll or something. (They don't have those here and I want one...)

Love you!!!
