How Firm a Foundation

Sacrament meeting is so much better when you prepare to take the sacrament beforehand.
I tried to focus on the spirit better yesterday at church, and for the opening hymn, we sang number 85 - How Firm a Foundation. I love that song. Greenmount ward is known for the booming, beautiful singing voices. It's like being surrounded by the MoTab every Sunday. I love it.

When we sang the words, "I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee, to stand..." it was if the spirit pierced my heart with a two-edged sword. I literally felt like Jesus was sitting next to me saying those words to ME. He wants me to do this work. He wants me to help others come unto Him. It is hard work, but He doesn't send me off alone. I felt like He was speaking to me when I read those words and I felt a boost of strength immediately. I'm grateful for sacrament meeting.

Sometimes we might feel like we are crawling on our hands and knees, barely able to move anymore. But when we fuel our faith and diligence, He strengthens us and helps us. We don't need to crawl anymore, but He helps us up. We can stand and begin to walk properly again. I don't know about you but I don't want to go back to my baby years when I only knew how to crawl. Imagine the floor burns!

GUESS WHAT?? Elder Renlund is coming to Perth February 26. You heard it. An apostle of the Lord. Everyone is buzzing. Myself included.

Love you all. Have a good week.

Love,
Sister Beardall
