Change is Good

Have you, yes you, ever asked yourself the question, "Why am I here on this earth?"
I have. The reason why I'm here and why you're here is to become like our Heavenly Father.

This knowledge gives me meaning. It gives me perspective. Often on my mission, I do personal inventories. It's wise to ask yourself the questions, "Is this something Jesus Christ would do?" "Is this helping me become a better person?" "How does Heavenly Father want me to respond in this situation?" "Am I becoming the woman of God He intends me to become?"

President Fife gave me some wise counsel: "You just become who God wants you to be. Look vertically not horizontally for acceptance and affirmation and then life becomes much easier."

We had Stake Conference this week. I LOVE CHURCH!!! Some notes that I want to share:
-God is in the details of our lives.
-God does not do things by coincidence, instead He does things by divine design.
-For as long as we are here on this earth, everyone will always have the potential and ability to become like our Heavenly Father. It's never too late.
-There is no greater message we can give someone then the message that we love them.
-"Teaching in the Savior's Way" is a good parenting book. Good teaching and good parenting is interactive.
-Faith comes as we choose to believe.
-A record of all things, of all people, is kept in heaven. God knows all His children, by name. No one is ever lost.
-Our responsibility is to build up His kingdom here on earth. One by one by one.
-It is those who obey the commandments who truly love God.
-The very power of God is infused in the scriptures.
-The Book of Mormon will save you. It will literally save your life.
-Love is so important. Love is the very essence of the gospel. All we do in this church should be out of love.
-"The symbol of our religion is the faith of it's people." Gordon B. Hinckley

Sorry that was a lot...

BREAKING NEWS:
I'm getting transferred to Bellview! It has been closed for a while now and my new companion Sister Johnson and I will be doubled in. Lets. Do. This.
I will miss Dianella! This transfer has been one of the most meaningful. I have met people who have changed me. One, being my ward mission leader, Brother Jones. When I told him I was leaving, he gave me some words: "You can be in the middle and follow or you can get out front and lead." "Ride boldly lassie!" "Be bold! Have some fun! I'm gonna miss you kiddo."

President Fife said that if I bring an investigator to Belinda's baptism I can come. She cried when I told her I was leaving. I did too.
Belinda is a miracle. She has grown SO much. When she speaks, her testimony and her knowledge and her conviction is as if she's been a member all her life. She still has a lot to learn as we all do, but she is solid. She keeps referring to a lesson we had with her as a "spirit bomb". It changed her and this morning she called us to share that she had a "spirit bomb" moment this morning when she read a talk I suggested that she read from the August Ensign, Accepting God's Will and His Timing, or something like that, by Elder Bednar. She had a powerful witness and awakening from reading that. She said she learned that if she doesn't get William (her 8 month old son) back on the 20th that she knows it is God's will, and His will is perfect.
I love to see her blossoming right before my eyes. She is going to Single Adult activities and is so diligent in her prayers and scripture study. I have been so blessed to teach her and to be with her in this journey of hers. It makes me happy.

I'm lucky to be here. I love Heavenly Father and have so much faith in Him. I wish I had the faith as the Brother of Jared, but I'm working on it... ;)

Love you all!
