I love being here in Waikiki! The people and places are beautiful!
Oh! I finally decided on a name for my second bike: Bequia (bah queee a)
IDK, it was a street name and I thought it was appropriate.
I
really felt Heavenly Father's love for me this week. I don't know about
you but that is one of the greatest feelings in the world. No, it is
the greatest. I LOVE Heavenly Father!! I know He loves me. I'm His
daughter. I'm His girl. He is proud of what I am doing and for the
effort I am giving.
And the same goes for YOU!
Bishop White asked me to give a talk on Charity on Sunday.
Charity a word that always stands out to me when I study or read or
hear talks, etc. I really want to develop the power of Charity. It was
SO amazing to focus my personal study time on learning about Charity for
the talk I would give. I have a better understanding of how to gain it
and what it means.
Charity=Pure love of Christ=His
Atonement=Enabling Grace Think about it. When we learn and change and
become from the very act of Charity that He performed for us, the
Atonement, we are then filled with Charity and we are able to share it
with others.
When we truly come to know who we are, we will
see ourselves differently and we will want to help OTHERS see who THEY
really are! There are a lot of people in this world who have forgotten
that they are sons or daughters of God. If the world knew that,
everyone's eyes and hearts would be filled with Charity and the world
would be a better place.
How do you come to know who you are
then? Pray and plead with Heavenly Father. He will help you know, I have a
testimony of that. Pray, and read your scriptures and keep ALL the
commandments.
If you are struggling with something...try love.
We
have someone named Brooklyn on date to be baptized! Hopefully
everything works out!! A lot of the youth in this ward are excited to
share the gospel with their friends, so we have lots of youth
investigators!! They are receiving the gospel and learning important
things for their life at just the right age!
While
tracting, we found an older woman who LOVES family history and we
invited her to our church where she can use the Family History Center!
We will see her there tomorrow!
;) We are praying that the spirit can touch her heart to learn more
about what we believe and about the blessings of the temple, for her and
her family. She is such a sweet lady.
It
POURED down rain the last few days!! It is so cold and rainy. It's quite
entertaining I'm sure watching us struggle in the wind and rain as we
ride our bikes. Hoods on under our helmets and everything. Sister Sinaga
kept saying, "It's hard to be beautiful in biking area." Bahahaha! It's
true. It is hard to be beautiful in biking area.
I
love you all! Have a faith filled week! And ask Heavenly Father to fill
you with His love. I promise He will as you do what He says. God ALWAYS
keeps his promises!
Love,
Sister Beardall
