She Calls Me Sista B

Hey y'all.
Guess what?? Last Thursday we had a mission conference and S. Gifford Nielsen came! It was so good. So good. Like, it was SO GOOD. I often feel selfish that I'm here on my mission all by myself and none of you get to have the experiences I'm having and none of you get to learn the things I'm learning-at least the way I'm learning them. Good thing we have emails though! I'll share some things I learned.
Actually what I said wasn't true. The amazing thing about God and His plan is that we can all learn every single day of our lives. It doesn't matter where you are or where you go. God will ALWAYS give you opportunities to change your life and to learn something new (if you want them). I love Him for that.

Buckle up.

2 Kings 6:16-17- I love this. We are surrounded by Heavenly Hosts. There are more with us than against us.
The definition of righteous is continually repenting.
The repentance process is just that-a process. But the blessings of repenting are immediate.
You cannot have miracles without opposition.
This is a gospel of miracles.
You are a miracle.
Go be noble and great!
Don't back down from anyone.
The Spirit speaks to you all day long.
Celebrate you differences!
Your companion can not make you mad.
Be prepared to go and GO HARD.
No matter how many times you are rejected, smile and move on.
Proclaim the gospel with a smile on your face.
We have been promised a member of the Godhead 24/7. How can we fail?!
If you think you're something, you're nothing. We are nothing! We are as dust. But yet we are worth so much in the eyes of God. We are children of Him. We are nothing WITHOUT GOD. We are nothing until we realize we can be something through God. #wearedust #specialdust

After everything was over, President Fife came up to me and said, "Sister Beardall, Elder Nielsen wants to interview 3 missionaries and you're one of the lucky ones!" What??? Let me tell ya, there was some immediate heart pounding going on. I was thinking, "Why me?? What did I do?"
Man. I love him. I know he is a man of God. He got to know me a bit and guess what? His sister? Sister in law? Someone...is a Beardall! Cool. He gave me some great advice on working in my area and personal advice as a missionary. He asked if I would like a blessing and I didn't hesitate to say, "YES!" What a special experience.

We found 2 new investigators this week! They are actually both from Africa! They love God. We are so excited to teach them things they haven't learned before! We know the restored church of Jesus Christ will bring so much more blessings into their life! We helped one of them clean her back porch. She is moving soon. She will still be in our ward boundaries. Good thing! She has strong faith in God. She says, "You can't be a christian without having faith." Oh yeah! This is Cindy!!! We found her! Remember when we were #searchingforcindy ?? We found her.

Sister Sinaga and I have been talking to everyone we pass on the street. (We talk to them before we pass them...) We met a couple from France who were backpacking across the world! They were in High Wycombe and were going to walk to the Airport... That's like a 20 minute DRIVE! So we gave them some reading material to keep their minds occupied. ;) They had no religious background or belief in God. Hopefully something will spark and they will remember that they lived with God before they were born, and that they chose to come here to become more like Him and follow the Savior.
Hopefully each of us remember this too.

"Exercising faith in God means we must be committed enough to act." -President Fife
"Faith is a principle of action in all intelligent beings." -Joseph Smith
